A documentary film from the expedition to the remote Nepal seven thousand meter mountain. It is located near the north-west upmost corner of Nepal, where the the borders of China, Nepal and India meet. Not far from the sacred mountain Kailás from neighbouring Tibet. The pilgrimage routes to Kailás and Api are identical and both copy the Mahakali river.
The expedition proceeds along the damaged and almost non-existent trek on the left bank of Mahakali to the Api base camp and the beautiful lakes of West Ridge. From there it descends through very sparcely inhibited land of south side of Api to the Ghunsa town and back to the civilisation.
